Spring is here, which means spring sports have started for North Point High. The girls soccer team is excited to kick off their new season with fresh starts and new goals. The girls have been working hard at practices to be on top of their a-game for this season.
“The season starting is such a fun way to start spring, getting to spend it with my girls and being able to practice with them and get to know the new girls,” Maycie Lesinski said (‘28)
The girls varsity team is currently 4-1. Winning a game is fun and exciting, getting to celebrate with your team and enjoy the win together. The girls worked so hard to win those games and had to work together a lot to get to where they are.
“We all work together to make the games work and do good by communication and respect for one another rather than not working together, and that then makes things harder for everyone else,” Sami Compton said (‘28).
The team work means a lot to the girls, being able to understand each other and how to grow with each other builds a team. They work so hard to get to where they are and to grow constantly.
“Teamwork means a lot to us, and it is something we most definitely apply to practices and our games,” Paige Zerr said (‘28).
The seniors are trying to finish their season out on a good note. The seniors leaving is a bittersweet feeling for them and their teammates. The next season will have to navigate how to do the season without some girls who played a big role in their team.
“I believe even though I will be leaving after this season, my team will be able to navigate through the hard times without us seniors,” Morgan Gaudy said (‘26).
