As senior year comes to a close, many students realize how quickly four years have gone by, and for many, it feels like it was just yesterday they were freshmen, walking through the big doors for the first time.
As some seniors are leaving with the feeling that they could have done better, others feel a mix of emotions as graduation is coming closer
“I feel happy and sad that it’s almost the end of senior year,” Luke Hodge (‘26) said.
For him, one of the hardest parts about leaving behind high school is saying goodbye to sports and activities.
“It’s extremely sad, and I hate leaving the sport of soccer,” Hodge said.
Even though leaving is bittersweet, some are also proud of the things that they have accomplished this year.
“It was a good year,” Anthony Baughers (‘26) said. “It’s the best record the football team has had in the entire history of North Point, and there were a lot of cultural expectations set.”
He also expressed how he tried to step into more of a leadership role as the football season went on.
“I felt like I learned pretty quickly and was always helping my teammates no matter what,” Baughers said.
Even though the thought of graduating can be a little bit exciting, the idea of graduating and moving on to something new can feel a little scary.
“It’s kind of scary and exciting but weird and really just exciting,” Kinley Dehart (‘26) said.
Even though she is looking forward to what is next to come, she admitted that it’s still hard to say goodbye to this chapter of her life.
“I mean, I’m happy it’s done because I get to start new things, but it’s also sad,” Dehart said.
As we are quickly coming to the end of the school year, we are sad and excited for our seniors to graduate and go on to exciting things in life. We will miss them very dearly.
