The NFL schedule has been released and sports fans are excited.

Quinton Meyer, Reporter

Football is one of the most popular sports in the United States and the world, and one of the most anticipated things in the NFL is the release of the schedule for every team in the league and where and what time each team will play each week during the season. Each team plays 17 games a season with one bye week, so that is a lot of games over 18 weeks.

There are three primetime games every week: Thursday night, Sunday night and Monday night. These are my top five NFL primetime games to watch.

Number 5 on my list is Los Angles Rams vs Los Angles Chargers, Week 17, Sunday, Jan 1 at 8:20p.m et on NBC. This new years day matchup is between the defending super bowl champs and the talented Chargers and this game will technically be a home game from the Chargers both teams play in the same stadium and these two teams will be really good in 2022-2023 and it should be a good match.

Number 4 on my list is Las Vegas Raiders vs Pittsburgh Steelers, Week 16 Sunday, Dec 24 at 8:15 p.m et On NFL Network. This game is ranked at 8 because it is on Christmas eve and these two teams have big question marks on both sides of the ball but the reason it’s on this list is because it is an all-time rivalry and it marks the 50th anniversary of the immaculate reception. The immaculate reception was when a hail mary by the Pittsburg Steelers was knocked down but was in the air just long enough for Franco Harris to catch the ball and score a touchdown.

Number 3 on my list is the Kansas City Cheifs vs Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Week 4 Sunday, Oct 7 at 8:20 p.m et on NBC. This game is ranked here because it is a rematch of the 2020 super bowl between the Cheifs and the Buccaneers and for probably the last time it is Patrick Mahomes and Tom Brady will play each other in the regular season. The game takes place at Raymond James Stadium where the super bowl took place where Tom Brady and the Bucs blew out Mahomes and the Cheifs.

Number 2 on my list is Buffalo Bills vs Green Bay Packers, Week 8 Sunday, Oct 30 at 8:20 p.m et on NBC. This game is the NFL MVP Arron Rodgers vs MVP candidate Josh Allen in Green Bay. This game is here because the Bills are the Favorites to win the Super Bowl this year and October football on Sunday night the day before Halloween is always a treat to have.

Number 1 on my list is the Buffalo Bills vs Los Angles Rams, Week 1 Thursday, September 8 at 8:20 p.m et on NBC. What a game to kick off the NFL season with a game between the defending champs and the Super Bowl favorites. This is the first game of the season and it will spectacular and will be the best game all year. It is the first game of the year Aaron Donald and the Rams are a super team adding wide receiver Robert Woods and still having Cooper Kupp and Matt Stafford and just the all-around talent the Rams have. Josh Allen and the Bills have one of the best offenses in the league and with adding Von Miller on Defense the Bills will be a hard team to beat this year.
