Teachers of the Month

August and September teachers of the month were announced at the last faculty meeting.

Every month our students choose our teacher of the month. The August teacher of the month was Mr. Hult and The September was Ms. Anderson. Both of these were announced at the September faculty meeting.

Both Mr. Hult and Ms. Anderson were thrilled to find out that they were teacher of the month,

“I was very excited and honored,” Ms. Anderson said.

It was surprising for Mr. Hult because he is brand new here.

“I was astounded first, then flattered… it was very sweet” Mr. Hult said.

Being teacher of the month meant a lot to our teachers.

“‘Mark Twain once said, “I can go three months on one sincere compliment’”, Mr. Hult said. “So often in life, there’s so much negativity, but it was nice to have students say ‘you’re doing a good job’.  It was very very flattering and humbling as well,” Mr. Hult said.

These teachers love their students as much as the students love them.

“It means my students feel welcome and safe,” Ms. Anderson said.

Both Teachers have been announced as teacher of the month in other years.

“I was chosen last year as well,” Ms. Anderson said.

Mr. Hult has been teaching for a long time and it is great to see that he still has a passion for teaching.

“I was chosen ne time in twenty-four years at Timberland,” Mr. Hult said

Ms. Anderson felt pleased to know how much her students really love her,

“It makes me feel better on days when things don’t go well,” Ms. Anderson said.
