Mr. Brown, a US History and US Gov teacher, is new to our school.

This is Mr.Brown. He is a new teacher here at our school. He has taught for 18 years and has been with Wentzville schools for six years. Mr. Brown became a teacher because of coaching football, but after a few years of coaching, he turned his focus to the classroom and became a special education teacher to help students who had challenges learning. He maintained his passion for social studies by teaching Applied Government and has been back as a regular education social studies teacher for the last four years.

Mr. Brown originally went to college as a student-athlete where he played football and first studied to become a pastor. After an intro to teaching class, he decided to change his major to education.  His biggest goal as a teacher is to make sure his kids learn how they can leave a mark in this world.

“I want to leave a legacy behind, when people think of me I hope they think of someone who is honest. dependable, loyal and displays what it is to be a good person,” Brown said.

One of his current goals is to help Mrs. Garr with a student organization called FCA. FCA is a club that focuses on non-denominational Christian sports ministry. Athletes come together and share their faith and focus on being athletes with good sportsmanship.

Mr. Brown’s teaching style is easy to love.

“He’s helpful,” Austin Stackhouse (’25) “He’s funny and loud and makes learning fun. He’s also bald.”

Mr. Brown’s humor keeps the class engaged.

“He tells a lot of jokes,” Alexis Schunzel (’25) said. “He gives a lot of time for homework, and does a lot of hands-on projects. He’s helpful when you ask questions.”
