With Halloween just around the corner, many students are excited and have already started planning their weekends. This year’s plans show just how much students love Halloween, no matter the age.
Some students are celebrating the holiday more traditionally.
“I am going trick-or-treating one last time with all of my friends before we graduate on Halloween night,” Paige Bahr (‘26) said.
Other students plan to keep their plans a little more chill. One student said she is looking forward to a cozy Halloween night with friends.
“My friends and I are going to stay in and watch scary movies and all bring Halloween-themed snacks,” Audrey Howes (‘26) said, “It’s a lot less stressful.”
Some students are looking forward to the haunted houses and fulfilling their yearly traditions.
“At some point during the weekend, I am going to go to the Cobb Factory,” Brendon Balcom (‘26) said, “It’s a yearly tradition with my friends.”
The St. Louis area has tons of fun ways to celebrate the spooky season. For people who are looking to be scared, we have The Darkness, Creepyworld, and the Lemp Haunted House, which are three of St. Louis’ most popular haunted houses. They are open all the way through November, and they both have haunted houses, escape rooms, and scare actors.
People looking for thrills and fright can also go to Six Flags St. Louis Fright Fest in Eureka, where the roller coasters run after dark and scare actors roam the park. They have haunted mazes, scare zones, and live shows for the perfect blend of fright and fun, along with roller coasters.
For families or students who are looking for more lighthearted activities, there is the Boo at the Zoo event at the Saint Louis Zoo. The event includes decorations, candy, and Halloween games. It is perfect for young kids or anyone who doesn’t feel like being scared.
Whether students are spending their Halloween weekend trick-or-treating, watching movies, or going to the Halloween events scattered around St. Louis, there are plenty of ways to have fun and get into the Halloween spirit, and everyone gets to enjoy their six-day weekend.
