The Grizzly students are kicking off homecoming weekend with a fun and exciting pep rally. They are getting excited and enthusiastic about homecoming, and they can’t wait for games and learning more about their homecoming, as well as having an amazing fun school spirit week.
“Pep rallies are one of my favorite things,” Mrs. Ohlms said. “They are like pump up times for the school. I love watching the cheer and dance performances, as well as how loud and excited each class can get. I can’t wait to see what games we are playing, and I hope everyone participates with positivity and enthusiasm because North Point is the best.”
Performances and games are the most liked part of the pep rallies. Students as well as teachers get involved and have fun. Students can’t wait to see what the pep rally has to offer.
“I can’t wait to see what kind of games and performances are displayed,” Leah Fron (‘29) said. ” The games are super fun, I always love to get involved and have fun. The class wars are one of my favorite things. Getting to scream and have fun while trying to beat the others.”
The Grizzlies did a fun spirit day. Color wars is where the students participate in wearing their class color, and they went all out. There is competition between the upper-classmen and the other grades. For freshmen, the color was orange, and someone dressed up as the Lorax. This shows school spirit and shows that our school is all about spreading spirit.
“The themes are fire, my favorite one is color wars and I can’t wait to dress fancy,” Khilie Jacobs (‘29) said. “I’m excited for homecoming, and getting to dance and hangout with friends.”
Wednesday night, the Grizzlies had a movie night based off their homecoming theme. They watched “Jurassic Park”, and a good amount of people went.
“It was exciting, it was scary, and I don’t like dinosaurs, but I had fun with my friends and getting to hangout and watch a movie without having to pay,” Taylor McRobert (29′) said.
