Finally, after four years in high school, three years in middle school and five years in elementary, our 2026 seniors are graduating. All of these students are looking forward to a new start and are ready for their high school experience to pay off. They may disagree on the hardest year, or their opinions on senior privileges, but one thing they all agree on is that they will miss the school. Maybe more so, the people. One of our seniors, Isabel Ghafoori (26), agrees that she will miss the people for the most part.
“I hate having to leave my favorite teachers,” Ghafoori said. “My sister is a freshman and I’ll be leaving her behind.”
One common tradition in high schools around the country is painting senior parking spots. Our school, however, refuses to do so, and the seniors have varying opinions. Marisa Abraham (26) argues that her traditions have not been fulfilled.
“It’s stupid,” Abraham said. “It would be fun to paint my parking spot.”
On the other hand, Dylan Richards (26), seemed to be unbothered by the rule.
“I don’t really care about that, and I’m not gonna lie,” Richards said.
After four years of high school, our seniors are pretty familiar with the school. Each student has been through every year of high school and most agreed that the hardest year was junior.
“I got my first B in junior year,” Ghafoori, a straight A student said.
Being a senior obviously leaves room for many privileges, leaving school early, getting to sleep in later. Obviously, all of these students are grateful for the perks they get that come with their age.
“I like that I get to leave early out of eighth hour,” Dalton Albers (’26) said.
Seniors this year gave advice to all of the students around the school with things they should keep in mind as they pass through their high school years. Ezra Khanamuenwai (’26) tells all students exactly what they need to do.
“Put yourself in uncomfortable situations,” Khanamuenwai said.
These students will be leaving soon, but their words give each student a helping hand during their high school experience. Whether it be looking forward to the fun perks and privileges of going to school every day or watching out for a hard school year, these seniors have given a word to help out each lower classman.
