One of the many ways to get into the Christmas spirit is definitely the lights. Whether it is putting them up for decoration or going out to look at all the displays or neighborhoods filled with lights, there is always something for everyone to enjoy.
There are many different ways and different places to go in order to enjoy all of the light displays that people put up. Most commonly you will see neighborhoods filled with lights and decorations. Sometimes parks will set up a walk or drive through light display.
Rotary Parks “Holiday Night Lights” has a great light display that stretches over a mile long. You have the option to either walk it or drive through it. It features many different types of lights to look at including tunnels to drive under, moving lights to show characters or mini stories, some lights are even in the water. They also have a section dedicated to the “12 Days Of Christmas” that many families enjoy. They also have a Holiday Night Lights 5K and a Fun Run on Dec 8.
This event is open from Nov 29 through Dec 24 from 5:30 to 9:30 pm and it is 10 dollars per vehicle.
This year there is a new light display, CarShield Field in O’Fallon has many fun Christmas activities for everyone in your family to enjoy.
They have many fun Christmas lights that transport you into a magical holiday tale with over four million lights as you travel through an original story, “Toy Store”. After that you can enjoy a fun ice skating trail surrounded by even more lights and beautiful scenery or you could go snow tubing down their giant 10 lane hill. Then you could finish off your night by meeting Santa or going to a story time with Mrs. Clause.
This event is open now through Dec 31 and the prices range from 26 dollars to 39. Make sure you go down to check out all the fun activities they have to offer.
Though these are just a few examples of how you could spend some time with your family and enjoy the holiday lights there are many other ones you could go see, even just by driving through your neighborhood or through the town you live in. No matter where you go or where you live there will always be something fun for you to enjoy this holiday season.
