The meme “6-7” has blown up on social media recently, popping up on social media and at school, but many people are asking the same question: What is 67?
When students are asked if they’ve seen the meme, they all say yes, but when asked about the true meaning behind it, they aren’t sure what to answer with.
“67 is just 67,” Ben Mulenga (‘26) said, “The world just runs off of 67, you know?”
To most people, the meme 67 has no meaning; it is just something that doesn’t have to make sense. That is the whole vibe of it.
“I honestly don’t know what it means; it’s just fun to say, and there’s a song about it,” Paige Bahr (‘26) said.
Others relate it to the basketball player, LaMelo Ball, who is 6’7.
“Whenever I see the meme 67, I think of LaMelo Ball, I am pretty sure he is 6’7,” Paige Bahr (‘26) said.
When asked why this meme took off, most students agreed that it was just because it’s fun to say.
Even if nobody can explain it, 67 has made its mark and made its way through social media, showing that memes don’t need a real meaning.
