Meet Coach Gregory

Mr. Hoyt Gregory, also known as Coach G or just Coach Gregory, is a new teacher in our building this year. He teaches E-Learning ATC prep and Credit recovery and he also coaches varsity football and varsity track,

¨Being in credit recovery makes me like the challenge of helping people when they fall behind,” Gregory said.

Being a part of the community and helping build a culture of North Point is a big reason that he moved from Mccluer North as an ISS teacher to North Point.

¨The family atmosphere is amazing and I like the new building,¨Gregory said.

Coming from a building that is older to be in a new or newer building is one of the main reasons that he likes working here. He also likes how everyone is together and everyone helps each other from admin to staff.

Football was also a big part of his life that includes playing in college at Lindenwood and being a 2x all-American offensive lineman and being a captain in the final 2 years of his 4 years at Lindenwood. He has then been inducted into the Lindenwood Hall Of Fame in 2018. Coach Gregory coaches football here at Northpoint. He coaches offensive line and defensive line.

¨He is an amazing offensive and defensive line coach,” Ben Clerex(’24) said. “He is just an amazing coach in general.¨

Gregory also helps coach track and field and is a sprinters coach. He also coached at Holt as a sprinters coach for their track program. The football team practices long as well.

¨Practices were very long, but paid off in the end and made us grow,¨ Nate Logan(’25) said.

¨He knows what he is talking about and he made me tougher through the workouts and the practices last year,¨Trey Trennophl (’24) said.

Coach Gregory has shown that he is very passionate about our building and bettering our students and our athletics. He is looking forward to the bright future of North Point.
