Has your school ever thought of a “park after dark” theme for homecoming? Well, the Grizzlies did it off the movie Jurassic Park. Some students were a little confused about how it would be.
“Dinosaur-themed homecoming, how do you dress for that?,” Brooke Twellman said.
You don’t have to dress up as a dinosaur or like the theme, just be you and wear what you want to. No one is here to judge. Some people thought it was fun, and would add change and difference to our school from others.
“Dinosaurs are very interesting and new, and I would think most people like dinosaurs, and I think it’s fun, and I think people will like it more once homecoming arrives,” Charles Washington said.
The homecoming theme is very unique, with some mixed emotions about it because it’s based on a dinosaur movie.
“I like the homecoming theme because I think it’s creative and no other school in the district has done it,” Ella Shorts said.
The creativity came from our people in STUCO, and they worked long and hard to come up with this theme for us. You can tell they clearly wanted something different and unique.
“I’m looking forward to seeing what kinds of decorations are gonna go with the theme,” Mrs.Ohlms said. “The social studies department loves to chaperone North Point dances and we can’t wait for another fun night.”
Decorations are waiting to be shown until the day of, but that’s what makes it fun. Getting to wait and see all of it, letting it all be a surprise for everyone. The homecoming theme will be a blast when it comes around. Teenagers will find it more fun than they think, and a theme is a theme, not a restriction. The students will have an amazing, different time at homecoming this coming October.
