In a season filled with high expectations, the Grizzles have beaten every challenge thrown their way. After beating Timberland and Liberty over the last two weeks, they have now made it to the District Finals. Today our Grizzles play Fort Zumwalt West at home.
Wide Receiver Jeremiah Mozee (10) and his teammates focus on the huddle during the playoffs.
“I mean I’m real competitive and we are all competitive,” Mozee stated. “We want to win so we have to pay attention.”
Also, Mozee is excited about his preparation for tonight’s game.
“We are turning up in the locker room with our music, turning each other up, getting out turf tape, and drinking pickle juice,” Mozee said.
Another Wide Receiver and backup QB Ta’Vren Brorner-Willaims (10) has high expectations because he is starting due to the other two quarterbacks being injured.
“I hope to have good leadership, lead my team, and hopefully get the win,” Williams stated.
Since both of the starting quarterbacks are out, defense is going to have to work super hard.
“We have the same game plan,” Wright said. “We are going to focus on the win.”
No other Wentzville schools are still in the playoffs so come on out in your Christmas gear (the theme of tonight’s game) and cheer on the Grizzlies.
