On November 1, the football team went up against Timberland in the first round of the districts with a score of 41-7. They also beat Holt in September 36-20 and Liberty in the first round of districts 21-20. This means our team runs the Ville.
Jeremiah Mozee (’27) is a key factor in the team. Overall, the season went well and they have improved year after year.
“We played well as a team and we had good energy and our attitudes were good because usually we don’t always have good attitude going into games,” Mozee said.
Hoyt Gregory (’25) is the varsity quarterback and unfortunately had a shoulder injury and could not play in the final game of districts against Fort Zumwalt West.
I thought it was awesome, you know all I had to do was throw the ball to Mozee and we won,” Gregory said.
Although the season is over, the progress and improvement seen by our team was extraordinary.
“The team put a lot of work in during the offseason and everyone got stronger,” Jayden Flores (’27) said. “We all played for each other and never gave up, there were a lot of improvements by our team this year.”
We are so proud of our 2024 team and what they have accomplished during the season and playoffs. We want to say thank you to our seniors for what they have done for this school and football program. Go Grizzles!
