In order to get ready for our homecoming weekend, on Thursday, Sept. 26, our school showed La La Land on the football field. Many students from all grade levels came with blankets, pillows and snacks to watch or hang with their friends.
This activity was a free event so that anyone could go, and it was set up by our student council. StuCo worked very hard to set up this event and there was a lot of positive feedback from many of the students that went.
One of these students was Bella Smith (‘28). She was one of the many freshmen who came to this event to get ready for homecoming the following weekend.
“It made sense to the Hoco theme and if they were to do it again I would go,” Smith said.
Smith went with some of her very close friends which many people did and that definitely made it more enjoyable for some.
“I think my favorite part of the night was watching the movie with my friends and eating candy,” Peyton Burgess (‘28) said.
Of course there were also students of other grade levels there who loved the event just as much as the freshmen.
“I have always loved this movie so being able to watch it with people who I have been friends with since starting high school was so much fun,” Sophie Kussener (‘26) said. “It made the night such a good high school experience.”
