The energy at school is ecstatic, not just because of the undefeated start to the football season. With a 3-0 record, the football team has given the school community plenty to cheer about, and the cheerleading squad is leading the charge in rallying school spirit.
The cheerleaders have been working tirelessly to ensure that every game is filled with enthusiasm and support for the team. Each game day, the cheerleaders put on their uniforms with pride, ready to boost the excitement of the players and the fans. Their presence on the sidelines is more than just about cheering; it’s about creating an atmosphere where the football team feels supported and inspired to give their best performance. The cheerleaders’ chants echo through the stadium, creating a wave of energy that pushes the team forward.
The senior cheerleaders have lessons and insights they have gained from their years of cheering.
“Cheer has been an opportunity to make many friends and represent my school wholeheartedly,” Braelyn Mueller (’25) stated.
Grace Newell is a senior who has learned a lot of lessons during her four years of cheer.
“Lessons I have learned from cheer is to enjoy the time that you have because you never know how much you’ll miss it until that time comes,” Newell said.
Bonding is important in cheer because you must trust one another during stunts.
“Always learn best from your coaches, they want the best for you and they want to see you succeed,” Joie Driesewerd (’25) said. “Create a close bond with others. Cheering is all about working together as a team. And always keep a positive attitude to overcome challenges.”
The football team’s success has only amplified the cheerleaders’ efforts. With each victory, the bond between the team and the cheer squad grows stronger. The cheerleaders are not just spectators; they are a part of the team’s journey, celebrating every touchdown and rallying the crowd during tense moments.
The cheerleading squad plays a crucial role in the football team’s early success. Their energy, enthusiasm, and school spirit are infectious, making every game a memorable experience for players and fans. With a 3-0 start, the future looks bright for North Point football, and the cheerleaders will undoubtedly be there to support and celebrate every step of the way.
