It’s a new year, which means it’s a new year of football. Recently our grizzlies have started this football season with a bang. This is the first time in North Point High School history that the football team has started 3-0.
There is always someone who is there during these games, and that is Head Coach Zangrilles. He believes there have been a few key factors in our team’s recent success.
“Recent Success has been due to the fact that our guys have played well on Offense, Defense, and Special Teams,” Coach Z said.
Another person that is always at these games is Lindenwood commit Hoyt Gregory at the quarterback position. He has some goals for the remainder of the football season.
“Get a home playoff game and average around 40 points a game,” Hoyt Stated.
Some players such as Ty’Ron Williams and left guard Brody Clemons believe that the team has been doing great.
“We all have come together and we have gained the confidence and saw we can really go far in our season,” Williams said.
“A key factor is 100% defense, but also our runs and passes are great,” Clemons added.
Brock Banze (‘26) has been on varsity all three years and was the defensive player of the week as a freshman.
“Last week wasn’t our best game, but we still won,” Brock Banze said. “The team bond and friendships we have on the team is the most important thing. We all have each other’s back.”
Lincoln Crosby (‘26) has been playing for three years and plays both JV and varsity as a corner.
“The intensity and coming together as a team is what I like best about our program,” Crosby said. “The team is very hyped up about being the best right now, and they give their all every game.”
This Friday’s is against Liberty. If we win, we run the “Ville.
