This year our school was featured in Varsity Yearbook’s Best of Portfolio and since it was shown four times throughout the book our school made it into the top 10 percent.
One of the spreads from last year’s book was featured in the book too. The spread was made by Vanessa Jennerjohn.
“I was very excited, I was kind of upset that I was there to get told in person though,” Vanessa Jennerjohn said. “I told my boyfriend, my best friend, the other editor, I told almost everyone I knew,”
There were many aspects that went into designing the book which allowed it to get in the top 10. One being the cover and theme, A Turning Point.
“We carried the theme through the book very well, the colors were very cohesive and I think the theme was very fitting for that year,” Jennerjohn said
We are very excited to see how the incoming yearbook staff does on next year’s yearbook, maybe they will be able to make it into the top 10 too.
“Make sure you ask questions and don’t try to do things last minute,” Jennerjohn said. “And have major communication, make sure you are all working together,”
Make sure you stop by the cafeteria during WIN Time on Friday to pick up your yearbook.
If you have not ordered one yet there are still 15 left, they are 70 dollars each. Bring cash or a check made out to NPHS to get one.
Spring sports, graduation and other spring activities will come out in a supplement that will be handed out in August. These attach directly to the back of your yearbooks to be an added addition.
