Our school has grown so much in the past three years including all the new students and staff members who have come to join us this year. One of them is Mrs. Gleize, a new Spanish teacher this year, who has a passion for teaching.
“I have always wanted to become a teacher and there is nothing I would have done differently,” Gleize said.
Gleize has been teaching for 30 years. She has worked in three different districts but is happy to be included at our school. She worked at Fort Zumwalt West for one year, Lebanon Missouri for 10 years and has worked in the Wentzville School District for 19 years. She had originally retired in May but when our school couldn’t find a Spanish teacher, she was happy to step up to teach again. She works in the mornings at Holt and here in the afternoon.
Gleize, like many of the other new teachers this year, loves being at this school. She said that she enjoys the differences here compared to the other schools she has worked at. She really likes the flexible seating options we offer.
“I have always wanted to be a teacher since I was a little girl,” Gleize said.
Mrs. Gleize wanted to teach social studies before she started teaching Spanish. Her minor was in Spanish and her major was in social studies.
“That’s my first passion,” Gleize said.
She was a history teacher for five years before she switched over to Spanish. Her love is American History, Geography and some World History, but she is happy to be teaching Spanish here.
