Meet Mrs. Junker
As the new year progresses, students continue to form relationships with their teachers, skills and experiences that will remain for a lifetime. Mrs. Junker is one of the many new teachers with us this year, hoping to make a lasting impression on her students.
Mrs. Junker been a teacher since 1987, but not only as an in class instructor, but also an Instructural Assistant, both at Holt and North Point High School. “I enjoyed being an IA very much, but I greatly value developing bonds with students as a teacher much more; I am glad that I made the switch.”
She taught as a substitute when her kids were younger, and later came to Missouri as a result of her husband’s job, she first became an IA, and then went on to further her teaching career.
She also teaches SPED classes, as of this year, engaging with students and creating a positive learning environment. “My degree was originally in mathematics, but I now am also a Special Education teacher, which requires a lot of adaptability, but is highly rewarding, I love my students.”
We look forward to having Mrs. Junker here with us, impacting every student she instructs and governs.
