Summer Scavenger Hunt

Dawson Shasteen

One of the challenges in the North Point Scavenger Hunt is a water balloon fight with friends or family.

Dawson Shasteen, Reporter

Are you looking for fun things to do this summer? I have put together a fun and simple scavenger hunt of things from our very own hometown. This Wentzville Scavenger Hunt is a great activity to do with anyone, whether you’re bored with your babysitting job or want something to do with your friends and family. The items on this list will let you explore our city with purpose.

If you are unfamiliar with what a scavenger hunt is, it is a game with a defined list of specific items, which the participants seek to gather or complete. Once they complete all items on the list, they win. The first student and teacher to complete the items listed below, will be our school winners. We will have a student winner and a teacher winner. Most of the items on this list are free or of minimal cost to allow everyone the ability to participate. The goal is to be the first to complete the list in its entirety or the person/team to complete the most items on the list.

  1. Walk across a bridge you’ve never crossed
  2. Visit a new Saint Louis attraction
  3. Take a boat trip
  4. A day trip with family
  5. Take a walk around Heartland Park
  6. Try a new restaurant
  7. Make s’mores at a campfire
  8. Binge-watch a show with friends
  9. Build a fort
  10. Have a picnic
  11. Go camping
  12. Pick flowers as a gift and give them to someone
  13. Go to a lake

The first student and first teacher to take a photo doing each activity and turn them into Ms. Swanson through her email Sydney Swanson will win a Starbucks gift card and have their picture taken as the first summer scavenger hunt winners. Your photos submitted could possibly be used in the 2022-2023 yearbook as well.
